STENZO WINS THE PEPSI 400 AT DAYTONA AND SCORES #2 FOR THE YEAR.

Daytona International Speedway - (8/3/2001) - temp report - The race started with Stenzo, Coyote and Speed mixing it up early on in the race.  Bob who had started in 24th position had to work his way up to the front.  But on lap 5  Bob would get into the #22 car and damage his rear bumper. Unfortunately this incident would not bring out a caution.  Bob would have to come in to fix his damage under green on lap 10 and go two laps down.  On lap 14  the first yellow comes out when the Jay's car spins out and into #17 car and the #15 car.  We go back to green flag racing on lap 16.  On this restart Bob gets back one of his laps. Under this last yellow Coyote and Speed would pit for more gas and rubber.  Speed and Coyote worked there way back up into the top ten when Coyote got up in the marbles in turn three and hit the outside wall.  He would fall back to 27th place from this incident.

Then on lap 36  Speed brings out a caution when he slides up into the #9 car as he was pasting a lap car.  Also involved is the #6 car, #12 car and the #43 car.  Speed has to pit to fix his damage and pits along with everyone else.  Speed  re-joins the field in 21st position.

On the restart on lap 39  Coyote who was in 16th at the time hits the #24 car and spins out with Speed barely missing him.  Stenzo who had restarted in 6th place, works his way back up to the front on lap 46.  Bob now right in front of Stenzo fight to stay on the lead lap having made up his two lap and is now in 26th place.  Coyote running with some minor damage to his front bumper and losing ground to the leaders taps the #40 car.  This light tap causes Coyote to spin into the wall adding insult to injury on lap 49.  Coyote has to pit to fix his damage losing three laps to the leaders.

Caution #4 comes out on lap 65  when  Bob slides up into the #40 car.  This wreck puts an end to Bob's day finishing in 29th place.  Coyote in 28th place five laps down.  Speed holds on to 9th and Stenzo WINS his second race of the year.
