Controversy surrounds SPEED's Win at Indy.   Is blocking racing  ?

Indianapolis Motor Speedway - 8/14/2001 - Temp Report - The race started with Coyote in 2nd just missing the pole.   Next was Bob in 11th,   Stenzo in 14th place and Speed in 21st position.

Caution #1 = Stenzo hits the #10 car and the #25 car on lap 10.

Caution #2 = Stenzo hits the #26 car into the #12 car on lap 33.

Caution #3 = Bob hits the #5 car on lap 50.

Caution #4 = Stenzo hits the #8 car on lap 62.

With the caution out the race to the yellow flag would be the last lap to gain a position or win the race.   Because the race was going to finish under yellow.   Speed who was leading had to hold off Coyote in 2nd place to win.   Speed moves to block as they raced into turn 4 and gets together with Coyote.   As they both spin Speed gets lucky coming out of the spin in a forward direction and would go on to win.   Coyote unfortunately would spin up to the outside wall and finishes in 21st position.

Bob who crossed the line in 18th ended up blow his motor under yellow on the back stretch and would finish in 26th place.

Stenzo on lap 62 after the wrecking with the #8 car, would end up cutting down on the #43 car as he raced back to the yellow flag. Stenzo would spin up into the out sidewall and blow his engine, finishing in 28th place.
