The 2nd yellow on lap 37 also involved Speed with the 88 car in turn one. Bob who was leading the race so far came in to pit under yellow on lap 38 with Coyote in 2nd, But Coyote beats Bob out of the pits to be the new leader. Lap 106 Bob's engine blows up bring out the 3rd yellow. The last yellow Speed runs out of gas 20 feet from the finish line, and rolls across on lap 113 to get 2nd place. Coyote wins Atlanta with Bob finishing 22nd in race this would let Coyote finish 3rd in points in Speedlan Season. Stenzo had already locked up 2nd place at Speedlan just by starting his engine at Atlanta.
