SPEED ROLLS TO RECORD-BREAKING FOURTH WIN IN A ROW!

Bristol Motor Speedway (4/2/00) -- This is the story of “Once agains.” Once again, Speed dominated the competition, leading 92 of 175 laps on the way to winning his 4th race in a row this season, setting a new SPEEDLAN record! Once again, Speed is a major force to be reckoned with, especially at “the world's fastest half-mile”, where he now has 3 wins and 4 top 10s in only 5 races. Can anybody catch this guy?!

It appeared that Coyote was just the man for the job. After winning the last 2 Spring races here at Bristol, he qualified 2nd and lead 54 laps early in the race. However, while setting him up for a pass, he tapped the leader's rear bumper and spun hard into the inside wall, severely damaging his car. Once again, he fell to 24th place, ending his win streak and forcing his second 24th place finish in a row, and third of the season.

Once again, Bob had a fast car and ran well all day, fighting hard to work his way toward the front, but falling short of ever claiming the lead. Once again, the high banks of Bristol Motor Speedway claimed a victim, as he damaged his car late in the race and dropped to 17th place, one lap down.

Once again, Stenzo experienced major misfortune while working his way toward the front. While running 6th, he got together with the 5th place car and spun off the steep 36° banking, onto the apron, and head-on into the end of pit wall. This marks the second week in a row that Stenzo has destroyed his race car in a head-on crash into the end of pit wall. Maybe they should install an airbag in his car before someone gets hurt! Once again, he received a DNF, and his second 25th place finish in a row.
