North Carolina Speedway (3/10/00) -- Most NASCAR drivers would admit they'd "rather be lucky than good", and STENZO had a little of both to earn the first Team SPEEDLAN win of the 2000 season at the North Carolina track known simply as "The Rock." Once again, pit strategy and timley caution flags proved to be decisive factors in determining the winner. After earning bonus points for leading the most laps, the win helped propel STENZO to the top of the points race for the first time in his 3-year career.
COYOTE spun out three times during the race, but perseverance paid off as
he worked his way back through the field, managing to stay on the lead lap
and earn a 2nd place finish. BOB and SPEED both wrecked, but limped to the
finish several laps down in 22nd and 23rd respectively.
